Roulette translated literally means "small wheel" and is one of the oldest
casino games played today. These are referred to as INSIDE or OUTSIDE bets. The wheel has numbered pockets ranging from 0 to 36 - and 00 in American Style Roulette. The payoff odds for all bets are less than the odds of winning. You can place bets until the ball leaves
the track and falls onto the spun wheel. In Roulette the bets
are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes, with each box
containing individual numbers. After all

the slots, the dealer will call out the winning number and settle all
bets. The wheel determines the outcome of
a game of Roulette. When you finish
beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out"
for you� The dealer will take your chips and give you casino checks which
you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier. Each roulette player is assigned different color of chip,
allowing the dealer differentiate bets and match them to the right players. When you get your roulette chips they will not be marked with a denomination, you choose it, and all of the chips will reflect that worth - the dealer keeps track
of that by associating the amount and color with a 'lammer'. The winning number is marked

popular in United States casinos as it is in Europe. On even money bets when 0 comes up, instead of losing right away, your bet is "imprisoned" and rides again for the next spin. Roulette is the most classic casino game of all. If you play black-red, odd/even or high-low,

In roulette everything depends on luck. There is little you can do from a strategic point of view other than trying to keep the house edge to a minimum. There are special rules in casinos which directly affect on the edge.
The first special rule is the 'surrender' option. In Roulette, this rule applies to outside bets which pay even money only, such as odd/even, red/black, and high/low. If the balls lands on the 0 or the 00 you only lose half your bet, rather than the whole betting. This affects the house edge considerably; after all it is the 0 and 00 which account for the high house edge in the first place. Of course, the payoffs aren't as great for outside bets, but simply by finding a table with the �surrender' rule, you are improving your odds substantially.
Rather interesting point is the 0 and 00. It is better to look out for tables with only one 0 , or European tables. Primarily found in Europe, these tables offer a much more attractive house edge from the player's point of view. With a European table to play on you are reducing the house edge from 5. 26 percent to 2. 7 percent. Physically European roulette tables are found more often in Europe, but in the �online world� gambling they are just a click away.
