Roulette Casinos Gambling Games
Roulette was developed around the turn of the century and is one of the most
popular gambling games in the world. Roulette is somewhat unique amongst modern table games in that it
employs a mechanical device as the key element of the game. -
The term "Roulette" is derived from a French word meaning small wheel. American wheels
have two green sections marked 00. These are referred to as INSIDE or OUTSIDE bets. The ball falls into one of the wheel's
numbered compartments which determines the winning number. American and European roulettes have a wheel that is divided into numerous slots. All roulette players place their bets. Roulette has a significant house edge. Every roulette player has different colored chips for easier identifying. -
Roulette translated literally means "small wheel" and is one of the oldest
casino games played today. European wheels have only the 0 green section. In American roulette the addition of the 00 section greatly increases the odds in favor of the house. American and European roulettes have a wheel that is divided
into numerous slots. There are two types of Bets in Roulette. The marked area of roulette is called the game layout, and you may place bets on any particular number, any 4 adjacent numbers, a column or a dozen
bet. Roulette does not move at a quick pace, it is for a more relaxed crowd than you are likely to find at the
craps table. The game of roulette starts after the players have made most of their bets by placing them on the numbered layout. The roulette wheel consists of slots or pockets numbered from 1 to 36, which are either red or black. Never ever make the 5-number bet. A huge attraction at casinos
across the country, the classic roulette wheel remains one of the most exciting
casino games available. -
Roulette is of French origin and was first played in New Orleans. Roulette is a banking game: all bets are
placed against the house. After purchasing the chips from the dealer, the player places them on the
desired positions on the table in an attempt to predict where the ball will land
after the wheel is spun and the ball comes to a stop. European Roulette Wheel: The European Roulette Wheel contains 37 numbers
including 0 and 1 to 36 Having one zero (0) gives the house a 2.70% advantage. The Roulette wheels in Europe are numbered 1-36, and have a green zero section. Due to its variety of
combinations and bets it might seem difficult to understand. Try to find a European wheel with the Single 0 (no 00) The winning roulette number is marked by the Dealer. When you finish
beating the house at roulette, you will have to ask the dealer to "color out"
for you The dealer will take your chips and give you casino checks which
you may then use on other games or cash out at the cashier. The European wheel has a lower house edge (2.63%) because it has only 37 slots instead of 38 (no 00) The wheel is used to determine the outcome of a game of Roulette. Before you can place your bet on a roulette table you first have to get special roulette chips from the dealer at the table. If Red has come up 20 times in a row, that doesn't mean Black is more likely to come up on the next spin. Before you get confused, standard
American roulette rules have the table use different chips than other table
games at the same casino. In Roulette the bets are placed on an area of the table marked with separate boxes containing individual numbers. Losing bets are collected and winning bets are paid.

The craziest casino story is that of Chris Boyd. In 1994 he decided to fulfill his dream in the casino of Las Vegas on the Roulette wheel. Chris had saved 0,000 over a three year period, and wanted to put it all on one spin of the wheel. It wasnt very easy to find a casino that would let him make such a huge bet. With refusals from most of the major casinos, Chris was referred to Binions Horseshoe Club. The maximum table bet on red/black bet in Horseshoe Club was 0,000, but they met him halfway and let him make this bet. The casino also agreed to block out the double-zero on the wheel as this didnt exist in the European version of the game that Chris was used to playing. Chris decided to place his bet on red. The casino and the dealer agreed to a few practice spins to ensure that full fairness for everyone concerned, and then the big spin came. The ball landed in number 7, red. Chris won 0,000 instantly, and asked for the money to be put into the casinos cage, and vowed never to gamble again.
